The film explores themes of urban isolation and resilience through a series of compelling and gritty vignettes. Von Steiner’s direction captures the raw and unembellished aesthetics of Troieshchyna, highlighting its dense clusters of monotonous apartment buildings and the lives of its residents. The film juxtaposes the area’s bleak physical environment with moments of unexpected beauty and humanity, creating a powerful narrative that resonates with the viewer.
