Synopsis
“Her Pregnant Belly Couldn’t Be Hidden, and She Became the Cold King’s Darling” is an ancient-style Chinese short drama starring Guo Zhiming and Tian Yuqing, centered around a princess-themed story.
The drama is adapted from Qing Shanshan’s novel Reborn as the Crippled King’s Darling. It follows Murong Jiu, who is reborn and decides to marry Prince Ling, Jun Yuyan, a prince who is disabled in both legs. Her main goal is to protect the child in her womb, who is considered illegitimate.
Murong Jiu makes a deal with Jun Yuyan: she will help him recover his ability to walk, while he provides her and her unborn child with protection. As the two face conspiracies and opposition from the Second Prince, they gradually develop genuine feelings for each other.
The biggest twist comes later, when it is revealed that the biological father of Murong Jiu’s unborn child is actually Jun Yuyan himself.
